While I have slowed down on making the Christmas cards, I am still trying to make at least one a week. Using up older DSP is still a goal, but not a priority (can't completely reform my hoarding ways!) I am also continuing to use the Merry Monday sketches for my cards! Just makes life easier!!
I used sketch #15 for my card today. I also pulled out the Ski Slope DSP from my stash of retired papers. I love the baja breeze background piece and was a little sad that there are only little pieces left now...sniff! sniff!
I knew I wanted to use the bells from Bells and Boughs, but had a momentary setback when I didn't have a punch the right size. It was the Three Bears all over again. This one was too small... This one was too large... So I grabbed a juice glass from my kitchen cabinet and traced around the image. That one was juuuuuust right! I cut that baby out, colored the image with pastels, and put my card together. Taadaa!!
Well, that's it for me today! We're off to do a little 'back to school' shopping! Wish me luck!!
Card Recipe: Cardstock-whisper white, Ski Slope DSP (ret), Ink-chocolate chip, pastels, Stamp Set-Bells and Boughs, Accessories-chocolate chip scallop dots ribbon, juice glass
You sound like me now using glasses to cut circles! I never seem to have the right size punch or whatever!
ReplyDeleteLove this pretty card - you're rocking on Christmas card Margaret!

ReplyDeleteNow that is creataive, a juice glass, love it and will remember that one. This is so pretty, I love this image for an Xmas card. I was asking where the time has gone as well, it was May and I was worried how to keep my DD busy for 3 months and now we are talking about getting ready for school!
