gift card holder

OK!  First creation downloaded without a hitch!  Since I'm a newbie SU demonstrator, I decided to play with some things for my upcoming open house.  I CASEd part of the idea from some pics on Splitcoast, but put my own little twist on it.  The original was a tag book, but I liked the idea of it housing a gift card better.  This started as a pitiful toilet paper tube (or paper towel) and was transformed by using DSP from Springtime Vintage, very van. satin ribbon & cardstock, and stamped w/ Soft Suede.  I used the stamp sets Just Believe and Fabulous Phrases.  I'm considering adding one of the flower adornments and a bit of pear pizzazz seam binding to bling it up a bit and also tie into the DSP pattern.  Hope you enjoy this and TFL!

I HATE dial up!!

OK, I am working on setting up this blog to communicate with friends, family, and fellow crafters about my latest creations and what is new with my business.  However, I am working from home and only have access to dial up which keeps kicking me off the design portion of my blog.  So, if you are viewing this and wondering why it looks so bare, now you know!  Please be sure to check back soon and see if I managed to get it looking a little less lame!

If you are wondering about the unusual blog name, it is kind of an inside joke between my sister, my husband, and I.  We have a Black Lab named Shadow, because, well, he is my shadow.  Shadow loves to be anywhere I am, including in the middle of my scrapbooking and card making.  If you  are familiar with Labs, you know about the whole hair situation, if you don't-they shed-A LOT.  The running gag is that any creation I make has a trademark Shadow hair somewhere on it.  When I needed a name for my blog, this came to mind and I couldn't resist using it.

Wish me luck on getting this blog up and running and please check back soon!
