If you have been a follower of my blog for a while, you will remember this card...
This card was featured here. My wonderfully creative blogging buddy Lisa M, suggested that it looked like they were off on an adventure. That sparked my second card...
and the story that went with it. Well it has been a little over 5 months and Chip and Rocky have an update...
Awww... isn't he cute?! Who knew the gestation period for lawn ornaments was 5 months?! So they had a baby and are now living in Little Rock! (yes... weak I know... but still corny enough to fit this series!!) They do have a little problem though. They can't decide on a name for their little guy and want you to help! So... in the spirit of this crazy little mini series, Chip, Rocky, and I are holding a "Name Baby Gnomie" Contest. Leave your suggestion in the comment section and I will randomly pick a winner. Who knows...there may even be a gift for the winner! If you have more than one suggestion, please leave a comment for each name.
Have a wonderful rest of the week! The weekend is almost here!!
Card Recipe: Cardstock-pool party, crumb cake, very vanilla, Everyday Enchantment (ret.), Ink-black stazon, various markers, Stamp Sets-Gnome Sweet Gnome (ret), Word Play, Accessories-crystal effects, ribbon (ret.)
Hahahahahahahaha...."gestation period for lawn ornaments" I'll be back, I have to go ROFL!! :D
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THIS CARD!!
Darn, I thought of a cute saying, but not a name yet. Perhaps a catch phrase for the upcoming sequel...
ReplyDelete"Never take love for granite"
Okay, got one. "Flint"
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that, my vote for the new name would be Little Chip short for Little Chip off the Rock. hahahaha

Margaret, such a cute card! Love these little guys!
ReplyDeleteOk, here's my two cents worth. I figure that before Chip and Rocky ever made it down the aisle, the little one was already in the making (hence arriving in 5 months). SO, I'd probably have to call the new arrival "Slip" since they "slipped up" and he was just pretty much an accident. The only good thing is that they look very happy about the whole situation. LOL!
Lynn
A name huh??? I'm thinkin' but I'm gonna need some more time so I'll get back to you on this one. Cute cards and love the ongoing saga. Too funny Margaret!!!
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwwww!!! Can we say sweet!! I love your gnomes! THe cards are just as cute as can be, love the progression of mommy and daddy to having a tiny baby rock! I'm loving Lynn's story line, too! For some reason the name Graham just popped into my head - baby Graham the Gnome! x0x0

ReplyDeleteHave to add something about your Box.. I bought it too and mine looks like my 4 year old put it together. I am not always good with instructions :)
I'm cracking up at your post! Good to know that that gestation period for little gnomes is 5 months. LOL!! You are too funny! Love the evolution of the little family, depicted in your cute cards. The sentiment is such a cute touch! Adorable! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL, this is too cute Margaret! Love how the story has evolved and if I ever have gnome lawn ornaments, I will be careful not to place them too close together, ha! Love these little guys and what a fun way to keep folks coming back to your blog! :-)
