* I just popped in to check my blog list and realized I did not set this to post yet...OOPS! So, here it is...Scrapbook Monday!!!
Well, today is Monday, and let me tell you, having a week off really messes with your scheduling! I quickly adjusted to sleeping in a little later, not having to rush around everywhere, and actually getting work AND crafting done in the same day! Now, I'm back to early rising (lots of coffee!), working, playing taxi driver for my kids, and trying to squeeze in time to make dinner and get some laundry done. Sigh...
I did have a lot of time to create during my week off and I decided to play around with MDS again. It seems like every time I use this, it gets a little easier and I learn something new! I also love how convenient it is to pull pictures from my files without printing them and just dropping them where I want them! Of course, I have already scheduled an actual 'hands on' day in my week to get more of my sister's birthday album done. Can't ditch one form for the other, now!
This page is from my oldest DD's birthday. My wonderful upline, Kelly, did a scrapbooking party for her. Each girl made a 'birthday cake' candle using battery operated tea lights, and also made a page for my DD's birthday album. It was so fun watching the girls create and they were so excited with their finished pages and little candle! I had just started as a demo and was not ready to take this on alone and was so glad Kelly ran the show. I am comfortable enough now that I would love to do this again! Since I didn't have permission to post photos of the other girls (and really don't feel comfortable doing that anyway), I concealed their identities for my blog post. So you will just have to take my word that they are all smiling and proud!
One bad thing about MDS-I keep forgetting to write down what I'm using for my blog! I know the background is melon mambo and the DSP is from Cheerful Treat, but for the life of me, I can't remember which stamps I used... I'll try to do better next time!
My site is named after my Black Lab, Shadow. Shadow received his name by being my constant shadow including while I am crafting. The running joke in my family was that due to the whole 'Labs shed A LOT', everything I created had a signature 'Shadow' hair hidden somewhere... While Shadow is no longer with us, I am lovingly reminded of him every time a random hair shows up in my craft room. Like our loved ones, Lab hair never really leaves us and that is a pretty comforting thought!
Fab layout Margaret, I like pages that have journaling on , well done it just makes it better.

Nice page Margaret. So wish we had MDS here is AUS. Something we will have to keep hoping for I am afraid. My DD wants to do a scrapbook class for her party so I guess I have no excuses do I?
