Flash Back Friday- Using Flowers

I'm feeling quite proud of myself today! Since summer vacation began last week, I have managed to go through the girls' closet (got rid of 6 bags of clothes), went through a few storage containers and eliminated 2 of them, AND even found time to be crafty!!! While I was doing my mini cleaning spree, I came across a plastic shoe box container with silk/fabric flowers in it.  I have not used most of these in ages and thought they would be the perfect supplies for my new resolution to use up some of my 'stash'.

So here it is... My first Flash Back Friday Creation...



I decided that in keeping with the 'out with the old' trend, I would pull out some retired DSP to work with as well.  This is Tea Party, a very retired pack from Stampin' UP.  I used an old Page Maps card sketch to create the layout of the card (I actually use those a lot, so it's not really anything new...)

So here is the recipe for my card:
Cardstock-so saffron, pretty in pink, Ink- basic gray, Stamp Set- Curly Cute, Other-scallop trim border punch, Flash Back Items-Tea Party DSP, fabric flowers

    WOW...look at you go girl. Multitasking and crafting at the same time. Don't you just LOOOOOOVE summer?? 'Cept for the bugs, I could do without bugs..ick!

    VERY pretty! I'm so glad you found those flowers as it looks so pretty on this card. LOVE all the different DP's you used too.
    You've really been busy cleaning closets, etc....Guess that's going to leave the rest of the summer for you trip and crafting!!

    clearing out the old is always a good idea-I feel good when I do that myself-pretty card-and I have some of that dsp myself-a great find on the silk flowers

    Wowza! You just got me motivated to do some cleaning! 6 bags of clothes is huge! Love your card and tanks for the inspiration to get busy and start using this crafty stash. Very pretty! :)
