A Little Spice Cake!

When I first saw the Holiday Mini, I fell in love with the Spice Cake DSP, but since I couldn't buy EVERYTHING at once, I had to wait to order it! This month, my stampin' club made this card.  I really like the pumpkin from Batty for You and thought this makes the card a little more versatile than the other Halloween themed stamps in this set.

We used the square punch to make the clipped edges of the dsp. Soft Suede is the perfect color to 'age' paper and we used it on the edges of every piece of paper on this card!

Card Recipe: Cardstock-very vanilla, soft suede, Spice Cake dsp, Ink-soft suede, more mustard, Stamp Set-Batty for You, Accessories- linen thread, scallop circle punch, 1 3/8 circle punch, square punch, dimensionals

  1. Cute card!! I love that DSP too and great use of the square punch!

  2. What a cool design Margaret! Love the distressing and those pretty pennants. I know what you mean about wanting everything at once...I've been pacing myself, too. Lol! Have a great day! :)

  3. So very pretty. I like that paper too. And the design you used for this is just super! Love it.

  4. Love, love, love this card!! Great use of this gorgeous paper!! :)

  5. What an adorable card and I love how you used the square punch to create those banners.

  6. Fan-banner-tastic! Subtle to the left, subtle to the right and then BAM pops the color and the image. Really creative design...completely unique.
    High five,
Note to self.."add soft-suede to wish list"

  7. A lovely CAS card, I love this DSP too, it's beautiful :-)
Thanks for visiting my little blog again, much appreciated
    Hugs xx

  8. Such a simple card but really makes the DSP sing! Just LOVE that Spice Cake paper - so gorgeous! Wish we had it in the UK. x
