Valentine Hearts CASE

I usually do not make a lot of Valentines and often the children I teach receive store bought cards (GASP!) depending on how much time I have.  But this year, I am working on a project with my sister, who is a home health nurse.  My classes and I are making Valentine goody bags for her patients. So I am making more handmade Valentines than ever before!  I have to admit this has been a lot of fun and I've gone crazy with the heart punches and the new embosslits for most of these!  Today's card is no exception!  I found the inspiration for this card from Debbie's Designs and almost completely, and shamelessly CASEd this one!  Why reinvent the wheel when it already works?!

I love using the Fashionable Hearts embosslit for instantly cutting and adding texture! It makes things so much easier!

I spent the morning at my oldest DD's school for District Solo and Ensemble Contest.  This was my daughter's first year and her ensemble received a gold rating! Needless to say, they were all thrilled!  Now I'm hoping to sneak in a little nap before I have to think about making dinner! Wish me luck!!

Card Recipe:  Cardstock-whisper white, real red, pretty in pink, old olive, red glimmer paper, Raspberry Tart DSP (ret), Ink-old olive, Stamp Set-Outlined Occasions (sent.), Accessories-full heart and heart to heart punches, Fashionable Hearts embosslit, non SU embossing folder

  1. Oh my goodness...texture, texture, everywhere textures! I LOVE THAT!! I REALLY love the Old Olive green in there. :D I never thought to add green to a Valentine card, but WOW that really pops and adds so much to the other great colors.
What a wonderful thing you class is doing to help your sister out. That's really sweet!
Congratulation to your kiddo for getting the gold rating! Super job. :D
Love your card and the fact that you didn't reinvent the wheel. LOL
