A Little Christmas...

I have always been a devout believer that Christmas decorating doesn't take place until after Thanksgiving. I  love fall and all of the beautiful colors used to decorate for the fall season. So, our home isn't 'decked' until after the turkey has been digested.  This same philosophy doesn't apply to my cards... I make all of the cards that are sent from our home and it seems like each year I'm always making 'just a few more' at the last minute. So this year, I started playing with several different stamps and plans as soon as I opened my box of Holiday Mini goodies.  I LOVE the stockings and the coordinating punch!
Today's card began when I saw the color challenge at Simply Stampin' Challenge. I was looking at my pear pizzazz, chocolate chip, and soft suede paper and began to see a stocking card in my head. I know this is not a traditional color combo for Christmas, but I love those brown colors!!  Here is my card...

I had to add a little bling to two of the stockings. After all, it is Christmas... This card is also being submitted for the Design Team Call. Thanks for stopping by!

Card Recipe: Cardstock-very vanilla, pear pizzazz, Ink-chocolate chip, pear pizzazz, soft suede, Stamp Set-Stitched Stockings, Accessories- stocking builder punch, chocolate chip scallop dots ribbon, basic pearls, basic rhinestones, snow burst embossing folder

  1. What a sweet philosophy! With 3 kids with December birthdays, we are lucky to decorate at all, lol! This is a joyful card - and a delightful color combination! SUPERB!

  2. AWESOME....those little stockings are darling. :D
I ordered mine and now I can't wait to get my hands on them!!!
Way to be ahead of the game. Seems the hurrier I go the behinder I get. I have 86 days to get my act together.
Thanks for the inspiration and motivation. ;)

  3. LOVE those little stockings - and the bit of bling. So cute! I MUST get that stamp and punch too as it's so cute.

  4. Another lovely card - Jacqueline xx

  5. Love the non traditional colors!! Those stockings are way too cute!! I always have my Christmas cards done by the begining of November, but it probably won't happen this year. I don't even have a design for them yet. lol This card inspires me though. Thanks!!

  6. Oh my goodness, those stockings are adorable! So sad we didn't get that stamp set and punch in the European SU! catty : (
