Hello! I am so glad you stopped by to visit. Today is Christmas Eve and I am happy to say that my list is pretty well completed. I still need to find a box for one of my gifts, but that celebration isn't until Sunday, so I have a little time to find the right size. I've been so busy that my blog has been completely neglected, and I thought this would be a good time to catch up.
Rather than trying to match up days with blog posts and sounding like a really bad version of the 12 days of Christmas, I will just share a few photos of the things that have been consuming my time.
Cookie Day was very successful. We made
10 different kinds of cookies in one afternoon
and most of them have been given as gifts already.
My girls helped in the making of Santa and
Grinch bottles for their religion and school
teachers. I stole these ideas from Pinterest.
St. Nick brought the girls a Charlie Brown
gingerbread village kit. We spent an afternoon
putting these together and the girls had a lot of
fun decorating the houses.
We also mailed Christmas cards, finished shopping and wrapping, attended a bridal shower, and made another batch of chocolate chip cookies since the others were gone. Of course, one of our favorite activities was picking a Christmas movie to watch each evening before we went to bed. It's a great way to see a lot of classics and everyone gets to see his or her favorite. I suffered through the Home Alone series, but got to see White Christmas and the majority of the Santa Claus and Rudolph claymation movies. I still have to squeeze in the Nutcracker, It's a Wonderful Life, and A Christmas Story!
Today is our church's Children's Mass and my girls will be singing in the youth choir and helping the littles during the service. Then we will come home and enjoy our first Christmas dinner and open a few presents.Time to relax and enjoy!!
I hope your lists are almost completed and you managed to stay on Santa's nice list!! Have a wonderful Christmas and Happy Holidays!!
